Experience Personalized Movement in a Small Group Setting
We keep our classes small—just 7 in equipment classes and 10 in mat classes—so you get the energy of a group experience with the attention of a private session.
All classes are 50 minutes long, except for our 90-min Intro Workshop and Intro Express Pilates Equipment Class, which is a quick and focused 30-minute session—perfect if you’re just getting started or short on time.
Class Descriptions
Pilates Private / Semi-Private Lessons
A one-on-one session using Pilates equipment like the Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Mat. You can book a single Intro Assessment, ongoing weekly lessons, or occasional sessions as needed.
Private lessons offer the most personalized experience, tailored exactly to your needs—whether you’re new to Pilates, recovering from an injury (with doctor clearance), or a fitness enthusiast aiming to boost strength, flexibility, and mobility.
Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable, fitted clothing.
Pilates Intro Workshop
Limited to 6 people, this 90-min workshop is perfect for beginners or those needing a Pilates refresher. You’ll be introduced to basic Pilates principles and equipment—including the Mat, Reformer, and Tower.
With instructor guidance, you’ll learn how to move safely on the equipment and adjust settings to fit your goals. Exercises are modified to suit your individual needs and abilities.
This workshop prepares you for Open-Level Pilates Equipment classes. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable, non-baggy clothing.
Important: If you have a history of spinal issues (e.g., herniated discs, pinched nerves, spinal surgery, active sciatica) or other musculoskeletal conditions that limit movement, you must complete a private 50-minute Intro Assessment before joining this workshop or any group equipment class.

Pilates Equipment Class (Intro + Open Level)
Limited to 7 people, these small group classes use the Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Mat for a full-body workout focused on strength, stretch, control, and balance.
Intro-level is for those new to Pilates or the equipment and preps you to join Open Level classes. Modifications are offered for all bodies and fitness levels, with exercises done in various positions—lying down, standing, kneeling, and more.
To join an Open Level class, you must first complete either:
- an Intro class
- an Intro workshop
- a Private Intro Assessment
- or get instructor permission.
Wear comfy (not too baggy) clothes and bring water!
Pilates Intermediate
This class is designed for those who are comfortable with foundational Pilates exercises and ready to take their practice to the next level. You’ll explore more complex movement patterns, increased resistance, and dynamic transitions that challenge strength, control, coordination, and endurance.
Expect a faster-paced flow using the Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Mat, with layered progressions to deepen your practice.
Prior Pilates equipment experience and instructor approval are required before joining to ensure you’re ready for the pace and movement vocabulary.
Pilates Chair / Combo Class (Open Level)
A dynamic small-group class (max 5) that combines work on the Pilates Chair with other equipment like the Reformer, Tower, and Mat. This class builds strength, control, and balance with exercises done seated, standing, and everything in between.
Expect a creative mix of classical and contemporary Pilates, with plenty of modifications to meet all levels and abilities.
Prior Pilates Equipment experience is recommended. Bring water and wear comfortable, fitted clothing.
Pilates Jumpboard (Open Level)
This energetic class combines traditional Reformer work with the Jumpboard and/or Springboard for a fun, low-impact way to build strength, control, and endurance. You'll alternate between flowing Reformer exercises and cardio-inspired jumping sequences that are easy on the joints but still deliver a challenge.
The Jumpboard adds a playful and powerful layer to your Pilates practice, helping improve alignment, coordination, and core stability.
Some prior experience with Pilates equipment is encouraged, as this class moves at a steady pace and assumes familiarity with foundational exercises.
Pilates Mat (Open Level)
Available in person and on Zoom (Saturdays at 10am), this class follows the classical mat exercises created by Joseph Pilates to strengthen the core, improve mobility, balance, flexibility, and overall body control.
Contemporary variations, props, and modifications may be included for a safe, well-rounded workout suitable for all levels.
No Introductory Private Lesson required—just bring comfy clothes and a water bottle. Mats are available at the studio, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Pilates Foam Roller (Open Level)
Join us in person—or on Zoom every Tuesday at 12 pm—for a Pilates mat class that incorporates the classic routines alongside a full 36″‑long x 6″‑diameter foam roller. This prop adds support for some exercises and a fun challenge for others, helping you better sense your body in space and elevate your balance and proprioception.
You’ll flow through Pilates mat work adapted for the roller, with added rolling stretches and gentle self-massage to enhance mobility, flexibility, core strength, and overall body awareness.
While an Introductory Private Lesson is always helpful, it’s not required to join this class. Just bring your mat a water bottle. Don’t worry if you don’t bring props—we have mats and foam rollers available at the studio
Barre
Offered in person and via Zoom (Fridays at 10am), this class blends music, movement, and breath for a fun, energizing workout. You’ll move between small, focused movements and full-range exercises at the barre, plus Pilates/yoga mat work, cardio bursts, and stretching.
Props like light weights, balls, and yoga blocks add variety and challenge. All levels are welcome!
Props and extra mats are available at the studio. Grip socks are optional and available for purchase at Studio Ivanhoe.
Zumba
This high-energy dance fitness class blends Latin-inspired rhythms with easy-to-follow moves for a total-body cardio workout that feels more like a party than a workout.
No dance experience needed—just show up ready to move, sweat, and have fun!
Wear comfortable clothing and supportive shoes. Bring a water bottle and get ready to dance it out.
